OUR TEAM
Compassionate PeopleThe recovery journey for mental health challenges takes a village. You or your loved one may need clinicians with different specialities to help out. As you go through the different filters, you will learn the role of each type of clinician and the types of support and aspects of care they provide.
Psychiatrists are trained medical doctors with post-grad certifications in psychiatry. They specialise in diagnosing and treating mental disorders, primarily through the prescription of medication, in addition to conducting psychotherapy. Psychiatrists can also help individuals manage side effects from medication or interactions with other medications.
Psychologists are qualified clinicians who hold a Master’s Degree or PhD in either clinical, education or counselling psychology. Depending on specialisation, they may be qualified to carry out psychotherapy for those suffering from mental illness, perform psychological assessments and/or work with children, adolescents and youth with learning and behavioural difficulties. Clinical psychologists are also qualified to diagnose mental illnesses.
Child Psychologists are Psychologists who study the mental, social and emotional development of children and adolescents. They help children cope with stresses like divorce, death, and family or school transitions. They can also identify abnormal behaviours early and help prevent, evaluate, and diagnose developmental delays or abnormalities such as autism.
Therapists can assist you with problem-solving for specific issues occurring in the present, or to explore a wider range of issues involving past experiences in order to find answers to current behavioural patterns. They tend to undertake a variety of therapeutic approaches, tailoring to each client’s needs accordingly.
Executive Coaches employ a collaborative approach with the clients to harness motivation from within and effect change. They serve to guide you towards taking ownership of life experiences and learn to manage relationships with a sense of fulfilment.
