Dr Malavika is a Fellow of the Register of Educational Therapists (Asia), a Member of the Special Education Network in Asia (SENIAS), and also an ACTA certified Trainer.
Dr Malavika’s work experience as a mental health and human services professional has brought her exciting roles and continuous learning. Her husband’s transferable job has led her to working experience in diverse cultures and environments across the globe, inculcating in her a holistic view of human difficulties, potential, and problem-solving.
While in India, she combined professional practice with teaching assignments at premier educational institutions and was the Head of Department of a Masters program in social work. In addition, she has worked as a therapist and trainer through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). As a mental health practitioner, she has journeyed with individuals of all ages facing interpersonal and intrapersonal challenges.
During her time as an educational therapist in Singapore, Dr Malavika has worked with over 300 academically challenged students, providing holistic remedial experience, combining therapeutic skills with the soft skills of counselling and support.
Nothing energises Dr Malavika more than the sound of laughter, and she is a self-professed avid traveller who indulges her free time traversing the globe with her family, creating cherished experiences.
