Lohsnah is a Doctoral-level trained Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of working experience. Other than being a practitioner, she is also a passionate educator and trainer.
Lohsnah works with children, adolescents and adults in a range of issues from low self-esteem, to anxiety, depression, and stress management.
Her other area of interest is Intellectual Disability. Other than formal diagnostic assessment, she also works with the family and services to support the person in their emotions and behaviours. She provides guidance for sexuality-related issues too.
Lohsnah is a trained provider of a parenting programme called Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) and works actively with parents to better support their child/adolescent.

In-depth
Lohsnah completed her Honours (Psychology), University of Sydney and returned to Singapore and joined the Movement for the Intellectually of Disabled. After a year of work, she was a recipient of a full scholarship to pursue a Masters in Clinical Psychology in Australia. Upon receiving her Masters, she returned to Singapore and worked for a further year. Lohsnah had a deep desire to further hone her clinical and research skills and decided to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Australia.
Lohsnah has an active training history of 10 years. In recent years she has been engaged by the Ministry of Education, Special Education Branch to be a key trainer on the topic of ‘Healthy and Safe Relationships’ for special education educators. She provides training on ‘Managing sexuality issues in persons with Intellectual Disability for Social Service Training Institute for the past few years. She also provides training for mainstream teachers on topics such as ‘School Refusal’ and ‘Anger Management’.
Lohsnah is passionate about education and has taught at several tertiary institutions in Singapore.
She is a Registered Psychologist in Singapore. She is a sub-committee member of the Singapore Register of Psychologists. She was the Chairperson for the second revision of the Singapore Psychologist Society’s Code of Ethics.
Lohsnah is a mother of two healthy and lovely young daughters and enjoys dancing with them!
