Profile

Vida is a trauma-informed therapist who incorporates strengths-based approach in her work with clients. She holds a Master of Counselling (Advanced) from Swinburne University of Technology and is a Registered Counsellor/Clinical Member of the Singapore Association for Counselling. Since 2014, she has been providing counselling and psychotherapy to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Vida’s expertise extends to supporting clients dealing with various issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, marital/relationship problems, chronic stress, trauma, parenting challenges, and other emotional and interpersonal difficulties. She also works with clients diagnosed with bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, and other features of personality disorders.

In her practice, Vida adopts a client-centered integrative approach and utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy) and Mindfulness. Her dedication and passion lie in helping clients lead meaningful, self-directed and fulfilling lives.

Vida earned her Master of Counselling (Advanced) from Swinburne University of Technology and holds membership as a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling. Additionally, she is a Full Member of the International Society of Schema Therapy.

Vida’s therapeutic approach centers around providing a safe and healing place for clients to overcome their challenges and emotional struggles. She empowers them to break free from unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns, while also guiding them to tap into their inner strengths and available resources.

Residing in Singapore since 2008, Vida has served in various social service organisations. Besides offering counselling and psychotherapy, she possesses a unique talent for mobilizing support from the private, public and people sectors to champion meaningful social causes. In her previous role, she led initiatives such as family life education programmes, sexuality education and mental wellness talks and workshops conducted in schools, community centres, government offices and corporations. She also held a senior management position in a charity that provided eldercare services and youth programmes.

Within Promises, Vida also oversees the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Corporate Responsibility initiatives of Promises, including support for the organisation’s charitable arm, PSALT Care Pte Ltd. During her free time, she and her husband actively participate in their church community, providing mentorship to working adults, married couples and parents.
