We are looking for a self-motivated Addiction Recovery Coach/Peer Recovery Coach for our expanding clinic operations. The right candidate will have an opportunity for growth and development and be part of our growing team in the Visions department to guide our clients towards a path of holistic recovery and positive transformation.
Role:
- Develop and conduct outreach work
- Assist in running Relapse Prevention Groups
- Provide one-to-one support and para-counselling
- Participate in education and training, such as experiential therapy, family education and evidence-based therapy training
- Assist with Detox Management
- Oversee urine-testing for clients
- Advocate & promote recovery from addictions
- Assist the team with assessment of clients’ recovery
- Collaborate with team members for referral management, connecting with clients and families with the services they need at Promises
- Involvement in youth work to provide emotional support, encouraging education, training, and employment
- Support and encourage clients to attend self-help groups regularly
- Conduct risk assessments of clients
- Conduct hospital visits when necessary
Requirements:
- Willing to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and after-office hours
- Has a passion to support individuals who are considering or in recovery from addiction to live fulfilling lives in the community.
- Preferably with some experience in working with people struggling with addictions.
- Volunteer experience and certified training in addictions work are a plus.
- Personal lived experience of recovery is helpful for advocacy
- Diploma level education
- Preferably a trained addiction coach or willing to be trained.
Salary Range: $2800 – $3200
Addictions Therapist
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Addiction Services
About the Organization: Promises Healthcare is a well-established and well-known provider of Psychiatric and Psychological support in the Mental and Behavioral Health field in Singapore. We are expanding our services to launch an Intensive Outpatient Program for Addiction and Behavioral Health. This exciting expansion will in time include residential services in Singapore, and opportunities to replicate the model across Australasia. As such, this is a unique opportunity to join a respected team and to be part of its ongoing development.
Position Summary: We are looking for a locally-based, Masters level Counselor. You should have experience of working in the addictions field. Ideally, this experience will include creating, preparing and running groups as well as delivering one-to-one therapy. Group work should include the ability to deliver psychoeducational as well as process groups. Experience of working with family systems that include addiction would also be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting Bio, Psycho, Social Assessments
- Provide all addictions counselling to individuals, families and groups
- Conduct group education programs
- Provide crisis intervention and counselling
- Develop recovery plans and makes referrals to appropriate service providers
- Maintain client case records
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related mental health field
- Minimum of two years of direct work experience in the Addiction field
- Ability to set short term objectives and use a strength-based, solution-focused approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work with an all addictions model of treatment
Salary Range:
S$3,500 to S$4,500 depending on qualifications and experience
Work Schedule:
This full-time position will require some evening and occasional weekend work.

Admin Executive, Addiction Services
Role:
The Admin Executive shall primarily be expected to attend to clients of Winslow Clinic (“the Clinic”) who have or are seeking to make appointments to see the addictions team. In addition, the admin executive will assist in any tasks related to the administration of group programmes.
Job Scope:
- To handle incoming phone or email inquiries from patients seeking to know more of the services provided by the Clinic or intending to make appointments with the therapists.
- To understand the addictions programme in detail and handle any enquiries from clients relating to individual and group therapy.
- To communicate with clients attending group therapy to remind them of meetings, to track attendance at group therapy and to assist therapists in any admin tasks related to their carrying out group therapy.
- To manage the client and referral database for the addictions department.
- To manage all materials and resources for the addictions department.
- To take appointments bookings, whether received via phone or email, of patients’ and therapists’ appointments, and enter these onto the Clinic’s Electronic Medical Records (“EMR”) system – with due checking on the resource (counselling room) and therapists’ availability.
- To register patients on their arrival at the Clinic and update the queue system on the EMR.
- To raise the necessary invoices at the end of the consultation sessions and collect the relevant payment amounts.
- Any other duties that the directors or management of the Company may assign.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma holder in Business admin/hospitality/related field
- At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the field of hospitality or customer service
- Confident persona
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Able to adapt to changes
- Able to work independently
- Computer knowledge, able to use internet and MS office software with ease
Salary Range:
S$2,300 to S$2,800

Psychiatrist
Role:
- Providing quality care and treatment for persons with various mental health issues
- Conducting assessments, diagnosis, and providing pharmacological treatments
- Prescribing medication and monitoring for side effects and medication efficacy
- Work together with our multidisciplinary care team to treat complex cases
- Collaboration with mental health professionals and organisations to improve client care
- Contribute to mental health promotion programmes and psychological duties within the organisation
Requirements:
- Registered with Singapore Medical Council as a specialist in Psychiatry
- Possesses good record in clinical excellence and commitment to medical education
- Ability to perform age-appropriate assessments on clients
- Able to interact effectively with clients of diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills
- Compassionate about helping clients and using clinically proven protocols
- Thrive in a collaborate environment and able to work together with a multi-disciplinary team to treat complex cases

Clinical Psychologist

Forensic Psychologist
Role:
To conduct medico-legal assessment and report writing, in conjunction with forensic psychiatrists. To determine how an individual’s mental state, pre-existing mental condition or illness may have influenced or affected the nature of their offending behaviour and whether this affects their likelihood of re-offence. Provision of clinical therapy in individual and group settings.
Requirements:
- Masters’ degree in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology,
- Persons with a forensic psychology degree would be advantageous,
- Minimum two years post-qualification work experience in said areas,
- Specialised training in assessing risks of reoffending,
- Skills in doing mental health assessments,
- Strong report-writing competencies
- Experience dealing with addicts would be advantageous.

Clinic Assistant

Jobscope
- Day to day clinic operations
- Registration of patients
- To pack medicines as stated in the doctors’ invoices, including printing of medicine labels and dosage/ consumption instructions, and explain the consumption instruction to the patients.
- Attending to patient queries and incoming calls
- Collecting payments from patients
- Booking of appointments
- Coordination with therapists and psychiatrists on appointments and miscellaneous duties
- Clinic Admin Duties
- To ensure the cleanliness of the Clinic, particularly the customer waiting areas, at all times.
- To check and acknowledge receipt of suppliers’ deliveries, mainly drugs and medicine.
- To perform certain general administrative duties, which may differ for each Clinic Assistant/team member, as directed by your reporting officer

Working Hours
- Must be willing to perform full rotating shifts including Saturdays
- Weekday shifts: 8.30am – 7.30pm
- Saturday shift: 8.30am – 5.30pm
- (4-day, 40 hours work week)
(Rest day on Sundays, and 2 other off-days during the week)
Candidates may be required to start on a 5-day week (office hours) during the probation period for on-the-job training before assigned to full rotating shifts.
