Jared is a clinical psychologist and a final-year doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) programme at Regent University (USA, APA-accredited). Before this, he worked as an MOE educator, and spear-headed school-wide efforts to nurture student leaders holistically in a tiered approach.

Jared is trained to diagnose cognitive and psychological disorders in adults and adolescents using neuropsychological and personality assessments. He enjoys discerning the pattern of attention and memory difficulties to support neurodiverse individuals in fulfilling their potential. He provides therapy to individual adolescent and adult clients and is also a trained Hope-focused couples therapist. Jared has been trained in multiple clinical settings under APA-licensed psychologists, including a university-based psychological services center, a community mental health center, and a private neuropsychological practice.

Jared utilizes and integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotions Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy to treat his individual clients. Jared has experience treating post-traumatic stress disorders, complex trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorders (including scrupulosity), depression, adjustment, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, achievement-related anxiety, ADHD, bipolar I, and personality disorders, in adults.

Jared is passionate about preventative relational care for couples through group-level autonomous motivation interventions, which is at the core of his research interest. In treating couples in distress due to co-morbid attentional, cognitive, mental, and physical health concerns, and infidelity, his approach to couples therapy is integrative and strategic with emotions-focused elements to address expectations, communication, conflict resolution, and forgiveness to restore relational health.

In addition to his clinical work, Jared provides supervision and training of therapeutic modalities to M.A. (Counselling) students as an adjunct lecturer and provides mental health training and consultation to various organizations.
