After medical training, Dr Sharad Haridas undertook specialist training in Psychiatry through the Charing Cross and North Central Schemes in London, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2015. He has since held several lead Consultant roles within the NHS, while also offering private consultations for individuals experiencing mental ill-health alongside co-occurring substance or behavioural dependencies.
Dr. Haridas brings sensitivity and a nuanced understanding to his work with those seeking support for mental health difficulties. He knows empathy is central to recovery. When you come to see him, you can expect a thorough and thoughtful assessment of a wide range of mental health conditions, ranging from depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, stress-related disorders, to neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, and complex trauma, including PTSD. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Haridas is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Psychiatry), representing a high standard of professional expertise and leadership in the field. He has served as an honorary lecturer at UCL Medical School and remains deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of psychiatry trainees. He has served as the principal study doctor for a landmark clinical trial at Imperial College London, where he led pioneering research into the effects of DMT on the human brain
