
S C Anbarasu is experienced and trained in the assessment and intervention of various mental illnesses and cognitive functioning. He is also qualified to administer a wide range of psychometric assessments, and prepare psychological reports for SPED admissions.

Anba is a senior clinical psychologist registered with both the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Anba also holds a professional membership with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
He has experience in the assessment and intervention of various mental illnesses and cognitive functioning. His experience in treating a range of mental health issues (e.g., anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, stress and behavioural problems). Anba also works on the psychological aspects of managing and coping with chronic pain, psychosomatic concerns, medical conditions, Tourette Syndrome (TS) as well as sleep problems and anger management issues.
Previously, Anba has provided psychological services at both local and overseas hospitals and mental health services (community, inpatient and outpatient). Anba’s intervention framework is borne of a client-focused perspective – he believes in tailoring therapeutic interventions to his clients’ needs, opening the doors to recovery. Anba’s interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy has led him to develop a cornucopia of therapeutic intervention skills to help clients from different cultural backgrounds to manage life’s inevitable challenges.
Anba is experienced in administering a wide range of psychometric assessments, in particular with child and adolescent populations (IQ, academic, attentional, memory, behavioral and emotional testing). In addition, Anba has experience in preparing psychological reports for special school (SPED) applications, as well as in support of academic accommodations or special considerations for students in all levels of academia.
Born in Singapore and having lived, studied and worked in various countries (USA, France and Australia), Anba understands the different challenges and adjustments faced by the international community. He is multilingual – fluent in English and Tamil, and is keen to provide therapy to those who are comfortable conversing in both French and English during sessions.
