She adeptly leads Personal Growth Groups, skillfully integrating elements of bodywork, role play, and creative arts. Additionally, she maintains a consistent schedule of psychodrama workshops. Notably, her dedication is underscored by her extensive training, comprising over 1000 hours of instruction and practice with the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute and AANZPA (Aotearoa Australian and New Zealand Psychodrama Association). Her expertise earned her the recognition of the American Board of Examiners, certifying her as a proficient practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy. She is also an esteemed member of the American Society of Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy (ASGPP).

Sharmini’s impactful contributions have left a positive imprint across diverse institutions, ranging from healthcare establishments to correctional centres. Dr. Terence Leong

Dr Terence Leong is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in general adult psychiatry and medical psychiatry, and is respected in the field of forensic psychiatry.

Dr Leong has occupied multiple key roles at the National University Health System, which oversees several hospitals, national speciality centres, and polyclinics. In addition, he was also appointed to be a senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr. Jacob Rajesh

Dr Jacob Rajesh is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist experienced in general adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry.

Dr Rajesh’s professional experience spans three countries. Early in his career, in India, he lectured in the Department of Psychiatry at the Christian Medical College. In the UK, he was largely a consultant psychiatrist while carrying out forensic work at mental health trusts. Finally, in Singapore, he was appointed assistant adjunct professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr. Joseph Leong Jern-Yi

Dr. Joseph Leong is well known to be warm and welcoming to all who have met him. He listens actively to assess what is happening and makes recommendations, going through various options for both patients and caregivers who seek his help.

He believes that recovery is possible for all and can be successful when there is appropriate support and adequate skills training – so he looks beyond finding the best combination of medications to recommending talk therapy and psycho-social rehabilitation and community partnerships.

He is highly skilled in motivational interviewing as well as solution-focused brief therapy and has been promoting health coaching approaches to all he meets. He is committed to finding the best possible solutions for the recovery of those under his care.

Before joining Promises Healthcare, Dr. Joseph Leong has actively served in both the public and people sectors to promote recovery and build community capabilities and capacity. 

Dr. Sean David Vanniasingham

Dr Sean David Vanniasingham is a consultant psychiatrist experienced in general psychiatry, addiction medicine, and neurostimulation treatment.

Dr David graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery and subsequently attained his post-graduate degree from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. After completing his psychiatry residency training, he practiced as a psychiatrist at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS).

Dr David has a vast experience in treating patients from both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has treated a wide variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, psychosis, addictions, stress-related conditions and insomnia. He is also trained in in the practice of neurostimulation treatment modalities such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Dr David is a firm believer of practicing a bio-psycho-social model approach in the holistic and recovery-oriented care of his patients.

Dr David is passionate about the education of young doctors. He was awarded the National Healthcare Group teaching recognition award for medical educators. He has also presented at conferences and given public education talks. Dr David is a fellow at the Academy of Medicine Singapore and is currently serving as an executive committee member of the Singapore Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Mark Toh

Dr. Mark Toh has 30 years of clinical experience with extensive experience in treating troubled children and their families, individual adults, couples, families and personality disorders.

He has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as psychiatric hospitals, mental health clinics, day-treatment centres, and specialised clinics. Dr Mark Toh has lectured at the Singapore Bible College, and also consults at the Ministry of Family and Social Development (MSF).

Mark is a hiking enthusiast who’s had the privilege of winding his way down from the lofty heights of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim to the Colorado River basin. For the more subdued, Mark recommends meandering along Vancouver Island’s Long Beach. In a perfect world, Mark’s loyal canine friend would be a golden retriever – specifically, Air Bud.

Dr. Elaine Yeo

Elaine earned her Masters Degree (M.A.) in Counselling Psychology and her Doctoral Degree (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology in the United States. She has had years of clinical experience working with culturally diverse children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of presenting concerns and across various clinical settings in Singapore and the United States. This includes multiple university counselling centers, a community mental health center, an outpatient diagnostic services in a hospital, a forensic assessment and rehabilitation service, and a private group practice that also served as an employee assistance program.

In her practice, Elaine incorporates techniques from evidence-based practices such as Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, and ACT. Recognising the importance of culture and environment in a person’s life, she endeavours to attend to a client’s age and generation, developmental/acquired disabilities, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, and nationality throughout therapy. 

Dr. Lohsnah Jeevanandam

Lohsnah is a Doctoral-level trained Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of working experience. Other than being a practitioner, she is also a passionate educator and trainer. 

Lohsnah works with children, adolescents and adults in a range of issues from low self-esteem, to anxiety, depression, and stress management. 

Her other area of interest is Intellectual Disability. Other than formal diagnostic assessment, she also works with the family and services to support the person in their emotions and behaviours. She provides guidance for sexuality-related issues too. 

Lohsnah is a trained provider of a parenting programme called Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) and works actively with parents to better support their child/adolescent. 

Lohsnah strives to be an authentic and compassionate therapist who is committed to offering her clients a safe, and importantly a non-judgmental space. 

Dr. Janice Tan

Dr. Janice Tan has more than a decade of experience in clinical and forensic mental health. In addition to treating adults, elderly, and adolescents with mental health issues and offending/at-risk behaviours, she is also trained to assess criminal behaviours and is proficient in intelligence testing and personality assessments.

She has headed psychological services in ministries in the public sector and teaches as an adjunct lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore Institute of Management. She is also a clinical supervisor at James Cook University Singapore.

Rebecca Lo-Tan

Rebecca looks forward to journey with clients in the therapeutic space that is safe and life-giving for healing and growth. She is an experienced family and couples therapist cum social worker who has worked in centres providing social work and counselling services in Singapore since 1995. The range of issues attended to includes couple relationship difficulties, grief and loss, anger, stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, parent-child and family relationship issues.
